DATA BASE: Boston Transcript: 3 Oct 1935, # 642: "Coddington, John(3) Coddington
(and Cuddington) of Boston, born 1653-4, married Hannah, daughter of Richard
Gardner of Charleston, Mass. Purchased land in Woodbridge, NJ in 1683-84 and
died after 1689. He was the son of John(2) Coddington (and Cuddington) of
Bostonm who died 1655, and grandson of Stockdale Cuddington of Roxbury, Mass,
1643, and Hampton, who died 1650> The latter was from Dorking, Surrey, and his
wife was Sarah, dau. of John Wood of Dorking, whom he married before 1616, the
date of John Wood's will (see Coddington Pamplets by Rev. Richard E.
Coddington, Lowville, NY.

1690; m. ca. 1676 John Coddington, a step-son of John Jepson (ibid., 94).
v. Benjamin, b. at Woburn, 26 Dec 1656; not mentioned in father's will.
vi. Henry, b. at Woburn, 12 Feb. 1657/8; called "only son" in father's
will; d. at Wobunr, 20 Feb.1713, aged 57; m. (1) by 1695 Elizabneth lane, d. 3
June 1703; m. (2) Hannah Nelson of Newbury.
- Hannah Gardner was born 17 Jan 1654/5 in Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts to Richard and Hannah Rolfe Gardner.
In 1676 she married in Boston, John Coddington, also a resident of Boston. They moved to Woodbridge, Middlesex County, New Jersey and raised a family of 6 children:
